CAMP FOR DISTRIBUTION OF LED LAMPS UNDER “UJALA” SCHEME AT DDK, AHMEDABAD
As a part of Government of India’s initiative for energy conservation, “Unnat Jyoti by Affordable LEDs for All (UJALA)” was launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat few months back.The 9 Watt LED bulbs with luminosity of 900 lumens are available to the consumers across Gujarat for an upfront cost of Rs. 70 (against a market price of Rs. 350). The bulb is having 3-year replacement warranty. Each household will get ten bulbs maximum in first phase.
To extend the facility for the employees of Doordarshan by avoiding long queues for procurement, A camp for distribution of LED Lamps was organized at the Kendra in association with Energy Efficient Services Limited (EEEL), A Government of India organization. Camp was coordinated by Shri Prabhakar Varshneya, Shri Shailesh Joshi, Smt. Mini Menon & Shri Azad Vaish.
Staff appreciated the efforts made by the Coordinators.
