AIR Dharmapuri Programme on TRS - Doyen of South Indian Cinema.



Salem a historical town in Tamil Nadu is not only famous for Mangoes and Steel Plant but in the tinsel world of yesteryears there lived a genius Late Shri.T.R.Sundaram affectionately called as TRS of Modern Theatres who produced 136 films including Tamil, Malyalam, Telugu, Kannada,Hindi and Sinhalese. An English Film Jungle was also produced. Four Chief Ministers excelled in cinema and they had their early lessons only at Modern Theatres.

In memory of this Doyen the 53rd Death Anniversary of TRS was observed by The Historical Association of Salem. In which Academicians and the members of the family of TRS participated. Astonishing incidents of the old days sans technology were recalled.A special programme entitled Sundara Ninaivugal (Beautiful Memories) was broadcast by AIR FM LRS Dharmapuri Tamil Nadu with valuable information worth for the posterity. The programme was aired at 11.30 am on 05/09/2016 on Vinayaga Chaturthi and it was produced and presented by R.Murali Pex Co.
