A three-day workshop on "Promos, Jingles and Cross-Channel Publicity" is being conducted by RABM (P), Thiruvananthapuram from the 14th to the 16th of March 2017. The main objective of the course is to enhance the professional expertise of the “Content Creators” of India’s Public Service Broadcaster. The Workshop was inaugurated by Shri. He cautioned the participants that the times have changed and that All India Radio and Doordarshan have to gear up the process of projecting ourselves before the society at large and our potential clients in particular. Smt. Lekha Gopal, PEX offered the welcome address.
The highlight of the workshop is the kind presence and contributions of Shri.Venkateswaralu, Advisor (SR I & SR II), AIR who discussed in detail, the importance of Promos and the dire need for Cross Channel Publicity. The session was quite fruitful in creating awareness among the participants about the need for building up a grand image for the institution. PEXs and TREXs belonging to various All India Radio Stations and Doordarshan Kendras in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Port Blair are participating in the Workshop. Topics such as "How important a Promo is”, “Cross Channel Publicity – a Makeover”, “Designing Attractive Promos - Tools & Techniques”, “Social Media Publicity – Do’s & Don’ts” etc... are being dealt with during the three days.
