Arkin Parriot, ADP & Programme Head of Akashvani, Shillong retires.


Shri. Arkin Parriot, ADP & Programme Head of Akashvani, Shillong is retiring on 31st May, 2017.

Born on 7th May, 1957, Bah Arkin joined AIR on 02.05.1983 as Asstt Editor EB. Later he was selected through UPSC as PEX in 1991 & Promoted as ADP adhoc in 2014. Ever since he joined he had been reading the regional news later rechristened North East News, as he demits office on 31st May'2017 he'll leave after reading the North East News.

His message to fellow colleagues: Please serve the organisation and uphold the motto of AIR "Bahujan Hitaya,Bahujan Sukhaya". Keep the benefit and happiness of large sections of the people through Akashvani.

  1. You are so fondly remembered by all who have worked with you Arkin and I am one who has done so. I still remember the day when I met you immediately after joining at Shillong and you did not seem to take enough notice of me. I wondered about you then. But as the days unfolded and we worked together thereon, I could feel an exceptionally good human being in you, an effective leader and a very inspiring personality to have ever come across. Being for so long in the north east, I truly belong to this area and my association with you would always be treasured by me. Your retirement from service is just a milestone for you and the journey of fulfillment continues. I am aware of the tenacity with which you conduct life. Kindly accept my good wishes for a very good health that will enable you to achieve the purpose of your life.

  2. A gr8 man, b'caster,human being,host,preacher & friend Bah Arkin AiR & NeS will miss you ever.Kum ne mo...?
    I had a very long association with Arkin Pariat in shillong,infact it was he who made my stay comfortable in shillong(1989 to 1995).Smile on his face & huge "Hello" is Ba Arkin's USP.I wish him well,health, wealth & beautiful retired life,which i call second innings...
