It was a great moment for Shri Dilip Chauhan's after Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred him during his fortnightly Radio and Doordarshan programme 'Mann Ki Baat' aired on 27th December, 2015. Shri Chauhan is a Teacher (PGT) and teaching English at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Shahibaug, Ahmedabad since 2010.

Shri Chauhan was invited to Doordarshan Kendra, Ahmedabad to share his experience. Shri Chauhan was surprised when Shri Surya Prakash, Chairman, Prasar Bharti welcomed him at DDK, Ahmedabad. During his interaction with Shri Surya Prakash, Shri Chauhan told that PM Modi mentioned his name in connection with the programme conducted by him on 3rd December, 2015 on the eve of World Disability Day to spread awareness among students that the disabled people too can live a normal life without depending on anyone and how they are at the receiving end of undue discrimination. He shared his efforts with Hon’ble Prime Minister by sending a Voice Mail. With great joy and satisfaction he expressed that it is a proud moment for him that his efforts and contribution towards betterment of disabled are acknowledged by the Prime Minister on such a big platform.

In his reply to a question asked by Shri Surya Prakash, Shri Dilip Chauhan informed that he completed his schooling from Blind School, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad and went to L D Arts College for his Master's degree.

He also informed that he is regular viewer of “DD NEWS” as it has provided him the information required to face the “Competitive Exams”. He also suggested to the students preparing for Competitive exams that “DD NEWS” is the only channel which covers NEWS on all the topics in different programmes and segments and its becomes very easy to get all the information on a single platform.

Talking about the "Accessible India" campaign that PM talked about, Chauhan said the idea behind the campaign is to enable disabled people to get equal opportunities, live independently and participate fully in all the aspects of life in an inclusive society.
